Mixing the solution:
  1. Pour hydrogen peroxide and vinegar using a 1:1 ratio into a dark-colored glass spray bottle.
  2. Tightly seal and gently shake to combine.
  3. Shake well before each use.
Using the cleaner:
  1. Make sure any bedding, toys and blankets are removed from the cage or crate. If there is a plastic tray, remove and clean separately. If weather permits, it might be easier, and less messy, to take the crate outdoors to spray.
  2. Spritz surfaces of the crate or cage with the cleaner. Use a scrub brush or an old towel to wipe down the surfaces. Once the surfaces are clean, allow them to dry thoroughly before replacing bedding, toys and blankets.
Recipe Notes

This cleaner is safe to use on your pet’s crate or cage without rinsing. However, you can certainly rinse the cleaned surfaces with water and dry them before replacing bedding, toys and blankets.
