How to keep your coleslaw chilled outside
If you’re serving this coleslaw at a summer picnic or party, you may be wondering how you can keep it cold. Simply add ice cubes to a larger bowl than the one you’re serving your coleslaw in and set your serving bowl on the bed of ice.
Some ways to “reinvent” your leftovers:

- In a large bowl, combine and mix all ingredients except jalapeño, onion and cabbage until smooth and creamy. Taste and season with extra salt and pepper, if needed.
- Add coleslaw mix, onion and minced jalapeño to bowl. Toss until evenly combined.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. This will give a nice crunch to the salad. If you prepare it the day before, the slaw will release moisture and become softer, but this imparts delicious flavor. So, you decide which texture and flavor you like best!
