Instructions
Graham Cracker Crust:
- If you're making a gluten-free dessert, skip the graham cracker crust steps and move straight to the main ingredients.
- Mix graham crumbs and 1/4 cup melted butter until well blended. Press firmly onto bottom and up the sides of 10-inch springform pan.
Main Ingredients:
- Arrange apple slices in a circular overlapping pattern on graham crumbs.
- In a bowl, beat eggs, almond extract, sugar, melted butter, cream cheese and flour until blended. Spread over apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 45 minutes and remove sides of pan. Can be served warm or cold.
Gluten-free Option:
- Place filling in porcelain ramekins. Top with apple slices and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
Optional Toppings:
- Option 1: Drizzle with your favorite liqueur (such as Amaretto).
- Option 2: Top with a small portion of ice cream (check for FfL-ingredients).
Recipe Notes
Gluten-free: Use gluten-free ingredients, if necessary. If you can't find gluten-free graham cracker crumbs, bake crustless in porcelain ramekins.
