Healthy Peppermint Hot Cocoa

What a treat to enjoy a mug of this quick-to-fix hot peppermint cocoa morning, noon or night. It’s bursting with flavor and soothes the soul. For some added goodness, top it with freshly shaved chocolate, Ohhhh, so good!
- In a large mug, add ¼ cup of milk and cacao powder. Stir vigorously, so cacao mixes into milk.
- Heat for 15-30 seconds in the microwave, until milk is warm. Stir again until milk and cacao are completely combined. Add remaining ¾ cup milk and honey, stir.
- Heat in microwave until drink reaches desired temperature, about 1 minute. Remove from microwave, add peppermint extract, stir.
- Optional: Top with a small amount of freshly shaved chocolate from your favorite chocolate bar. Enjoy!!
Dairy-free: Replace cow’s milk with almond milk.
