Maryland Style Crab Soup
Growing up close to Maryland, I was always around seafood. This amazing recipe was created and perfected by a close family friend and incorporates the best of vegetable soup and flavorful crab! I've tried tons of crab soups, but none like this!

Instructions
  1. In a large soup pot, sauté onion, celery and carrots in coconut oil.
  2. Sauté until tender, then add garlic.
  3. Add 3-4 splashes of hot sauce, 5-6 splashes Worcestershire sauce and dry red wine.
  4. Add black pepper, parsley flakes, basil flakes and Old Bay.
  5. Continue to sauté until half the liquid is reduced.
  6. Add beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and 3-4 of the 15 oz cans filled with water.
  7. Stir, bring to a boil and add vegetables.
  8. Continue simmering at medium heat until vegetables are done to your liking.
  9. Add more Old Bay to taste as it simmers. (We love Old Bay so the MORE the BETTER.)
  10. Finally, add crab meat, being careful not to break up the chunks.
  11. Heat through and serve ASAP or chill in the fridge overnight and reheat the next day for even more flavor!
  12. ENJOY!
