  1. Trim about 1/2 inch off the hard ends of the asparagus, rinse and pat dry.
  2. Toss asparagus in a bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. (Some of our favorite seasonings to change up the flavor are thyme, dill, tarragon, fresh lemon zest and garlic.)
  3. Place asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees until tips are slightly brown and the stalks are tender. Depending on how thick the asparagus is, it will take about 15-25 minutes.
