The Tastiest Teriyaki Sauce (w/o Refined Sugar)

This teriyaki sauce is bold, thick and so versatile! It can be used to glaze chicken, grill shrimp and bake salmon, or toss with grilled vegetables.

Some condiments we buy bottled and some we make from scratch. When it comes to teriyaki sauce, we had an extremely difficult time finding a bottled version that didn’t contain an array of highly processed ingredients, artificial flavors and dyes.

This recipe has been a saving grace countless times when we’ve needed a quick way to top a meal that tastes delicious and requires little cleanup. It takes only 10 minutes to make and has no refined sugar or preservatives. You’ll never buy bottled teriyaki sauce again.

Some great ways to use this delicious sauce:

This sauce goes great with poultry, fish, veggies and fruit. We’ve tried it on everything from shrimp kabobs to grilled pineapple. Check out some of FfL’s recipes that include this sensational sauce, such as Teriyaki Chicken, Teriyaki Salmon and Teriyaki Stir-Fried Vegetables.

If you’re baking your protein in a foil pack or cooking it in a slow cooker with this sauce, set aside enough sauce to drizzle on top after your protein is done cooking. We’ve found that the sauce tends to thin out as it cooks down in a foil pack or slow cooker.

Is the teriyaki sauce freezer-friendly?

Yes! This teriyaki sauce is extremely freezer-friendly. Store in a mason jar or an airtight container, then when ready to use, thaw in fridge and add to any meal or side.
