This delicious Creamy French Apple Tart is one dessert that is guaranteed to impress your guests! For a gluten-free twist, eliminate the graham cracker crust and simply place the filling in ramekins or a small bowl. Graham Cracker Crust:

  • 1 & 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted (non-salted)

Instructions

Graham Cracker Crust:

  1. If you’re making a gluten-free dessert, skip the graham cracker crust steps and move straight to the main ingredients.
  2. Mix graham crumbs and 1/4 cup melted butter until well blended. Press firmly onto bottom and up the sides of 10-inch springform pan.

Main Ingredients:

  1. Arrange apple slices in a circular overlapping pattern on graham crumbs.

  2. In a bowl, beat eggs, almond extract, sugar, melted butter, cream cheese and flour until blended. Spread over apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.

  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 45 minutes and remove sides of pan. Can be served warm or cold.

Gluten-free Option:

  1. Place filling in porcelain ramekins. Top with apple slices and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

Optional Toppings:

  1. Option 1: Drizzle with your favorite liqueur (such as Amaretto).

  2. Option 2: Top with a small portion of ice cream (check for FfL-ingredients).

Notes

Gluten-free: Use gluten-free ingredients, if necessary. If you can’t find gluten-free graham cracker crumbs, bake crustless in porcelain ramekins.

Always check for FfL-friendly ingredients.
