Peanut Butter Banana Boats

This is about as simple as it gets when it comes to snacks!

These Peanut Butter Banana Boats taste great, are healthy, require almost no cleanup and are fun for your kids to eat. You can use whatever kind of nut butter you prefer; we personally love almond butter.

A few tips:

  • If you’re really short on time, make your banana boats ahead of time and store them in the fridge for a grab-and-go snack as you walk out the door.
  • You can pack these for you or your kid’s lunch by wrapping them in foil.
  • You’d be amazed at how highly processed most nut butters are. Choose nut butters made with only the nut or a limited amount of salt (basically, the nut ground up into nutty goodness and occasionally a limited amount of salt… nothing else).
  • For a snack-sized portion, cut your banana in half and save the rest for later.

  1. Cut the banana in half and then slice each half down the middle lengthwise. Spread nut-butter on half of the banana and top with the other half. Enjoy!
