Why blend rather than muddle?

Normally when making a mojito, you muddle the mint and lime in a cocktail shaker. You can absolutely do this, but we’ve had the most success with making a fresh puree in the blender. The consistency seems to turn out better and the flavor exceeds what any muddler can do.

  1. In a high speed blender, pulse the frozen mango, 10 mint leaves, rum and lime juice until it purees.
  2. Add club soda to puree mixtures and stir.
  3. Pour mojito mixture into two glasses over ice.
  4. For a huge burst in flavor, rub the rim of your glasses with a slice of lime and a mint leaf prior to serving.
  5. Top the drink with a fresh sprig of mint and a slice of fresh mango to finish the drink off perfectly.
